We have our quarterly Sky Valley Arts Council meeting at 7pm this Monday August 5th at the Startup Event Center. We will be talking about the new Music4Life program and some other upcoming events. Everyone is welcome!
We are planning to have a park work party this Saturday(August 3rd) at the Startup Park. We will be weeding, spreading bark, edging, painting bollards, cleaning and painting the signs on the corners of the property, deadheading flowers, paint the basketball backboards, etc.
Sky River Surfacing will be finishing the new surface of the courts within the next two weeks. Natalie Dir, Brian Burleson, Brian Copple, Bub Sackman and I have been working away but we all really want it to look beautiful for the All School Reunion on August 18th. Dominick Zimmerman is planning to get the infield looking good, Brian Burleson is keeping it mowed & made new signs for the field. Chad Eppig is building dugout covers.
We have: bark, one wheelbarrow, one shovel, one rake, etc. Bring anything you might have. The Startup Park is going to look so great! People are always using the courts and the T-Ball families have enjoyed using the field. Remember, if you are a Sultan School Alumni mark August 18th for the community potluck. 11am to 3pm.
