We start the week with a new roof and end the week with a GroWashington fundraiser Friday evening.

NEW ROOF

On Monday and Tuesday the weather cooperated and a new roof is now on the Startup Gym!  We will spare you the details on the type of roof, especially since you can not see the flat portion of the roof that has been replaced, if you have questions please send us a note. Thanks go to Snohomish County for the grant funds, Loberg Roofing professional team and volunteers.  A new roof is an important step in making this building a proud place for the community!

We continue to hear from locals who offer in-kind services and leads to businesses interested in partnering on some aspect to the renovation.  Stop in to or call the Sky Valley Visitor Center / 360 793-0983 if you have a lead on any element of the restoration.

START UPS FOR STARTUP

This Friday December 18, 2015 from 7 pm – 9 pm Sultan GroWashington is hosting a festive community fundraiser evening to support the restoration of the Startup Gym.  Local ‘startups’ including artisans, authors and a brewery will donate proceeds of the evening to the gym restoration fund.  The evening will include a chance to win gift items and Locust Cider will be sampling their award winning cherry cider.  Thank you to ‘Start ups for Startup’ and we encourage everyone to drop in 7-9 pm Friday at Sultan GroWashington located 923 Main Street, Sultan WA.
