Rod Schein Cabin Relocation Project: Volunteers interested in saving and relocating a cabin that was built by Amos Gunn in 1890 and is the oldest cabin in the area are being recruited. A long time family cabin and historic gem is threatened by the river and needs to be moved. Look for upcoming information meetings to gather volunteers, raise funds and awareness of the project so the cabin can be relocated for productive future use for all to enjoy. The Index Historical Society’s property currently is under consideration for the relocation.
