Update on Firefighters Mural Restoration Project

20160415_124436-1.jpg$1800.00 to go!  That is what is needed in our quest to raise $6000.00 to digitally reproduce the Firefighters Mural.  In August of last year we started the fundraising effort to replace the weathered mural.   The plan is to use images of the original mural to create a digitally printed vinyl reproduction that will be placed where the painted murals are now.  The replacement will be long lasting and more weather resilient.

Honoring firefighters is the focus of the mural painted by David Hose of American Light Studios and the many contributions we have received recognize the importance  of this mural in the community.  We are very close to the goal…but we need a little more!  If you would like to make a donation to the mural replacement stop in to the Sky Valley Visitor Information Center, 320 Main St Sultan or use our online tool here.  Another fun way to support the fundraising is to participate in the Mural Quilt Raffle set up by 2 local quilters – Carrie Weiderman & Cindy Button.  The raffle quilts are on display at the Visitor Center and Raffle Tickets are available for purchase.

Please help to put the word out to help raise the final $1800.00 for this effort.
