 With May there are many markets, trails and museums opening up for the summer in the Sky Valley, we are so fortunate to have a strong arts and heritage community

Thursday May 12th, 7pm – 8:30 pm  Arts Council General Meeting, Social Gathering & Guitar Performance at Startup Event Center – drop in!

Saturday May14th is the start of the monthly Skykomish Open Air Market 11 am – 2 pm

Every Sunday until late October the Gold Bar Farmers Market will be open 9 am

Saturday May 21st  Celebrate May as Preservation Month in the town of  INDEX WASHINGTON.   Arrive at noon when The Bush House Inn is hosting a photo shoot  [planned for 12:30] with classic cars and period costumes- dress in costume [1900s – 1920s]  and be a part of the set.  Later in the day at 1 pm and 4 pm the Index Historical Society is planning a walking tour to celebrate town history and the museum will have special hours 12-5 pm. Join us for the afternoon!

May 28th – 30th is Memorial Day Weekend – is opening for many heritage museums and outdoor recreation venues in the valley

Library Activities: 

Details on TEDX Call to Artists  TEDxSnoIsleLibraries 2016 is all about showcasing inspirational and innovative ideas. The arts commission has issued a call-to-artist to create or provide a temporary interactive-based work of art, or performance art experience, to be included as part of the TEDxSnoIsleLibraries main event, scheduled for Nov. 18, 2016 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts. The deadline for submissions is June 6 for a project that includes a $3,500 budget.
