Here are a few updates from the Sky Valley Arts Council on the Event Center activities and where to shop and support local arts and crafts this December.
EVENT CENTER
We have been making some great progress on the interior restroom, kitchen & classroom areas with the help of volunteers. The restrooms are configured.
The frosted windows in the restrooms are now beautifully restored thanks to Dick King and Rick Cross. Steve and Eric Yarbrough are doing a fabulous job wiring the new restrooms, a huge ‘Thank You’. Soon to follow will be lighting in the kitchen and classroom area.
Out in the main gym area Glenn Parker is painstakingly repairing the stage frame that was damaged by water, it’s looking excellent.
Also, look for two Startup Event Center signs going up in December. Funding for the signs is per a grant from Snohomish County Tourism. The fabrication by Industrial Fabrication is coming together as designed by Kevin Pettelle, and will be expertly installed by Mark Hopkins, owner of Sky Valley Excavation.
A huge year-end thank you to everyone who has volunteered and / or helped in our fund-raising efforts in 2017. We appreciate your help and look forwarding to welcoming you anytime you want to stop in. We are getting closer to opening the doors to community events. We will share our 2018 plans next month.
