The Sky Valley Arts Council and the Startup Event Center are proud to recognize Brian Burleson, Bub Sackman and Brian Copple for their dedication to caring for the park at the center. This is the only park in Startup and we want it to be a place for locals to gather and have fun!

We have a great team of people and we are so grateful!

Brian & Brian take care of the mowing keeping the grounds ready for play. Burleson takes care of the T-Ball area making sure kids can safely play ball.

Bub helps with clean-up of downed limbs, etc. Bub also worked every single day of the Bolt Creek Fire evacuation camp set up at the Startup Event Center. We fed people breakfast, lunch and dinner every day during the time they couldn’t go home. He built a chicken pen for a family who had to evacuate their 14 chickens. Set up a TV so they could watch the Seahawks and helped keep their spirits up.
